The heir to the throne Prince William of Wales, and the future Queen Catherine are shown after saying their vows during the wedding service conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams in Westminster Abbey. The newly weds are taking a royal ride in the 1902 state Landau open carriage along the processional route to Buckingham Palace. Catherine wears an ivory gown with lace appliqué floral detail, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Her veil is accented by Cartier’s halo tiara, leant by The Queen. The tiara was made in 1936, purchased by King George VI for the Queen Mother and given to Queen Elizabeth II on her 18th birthday.
Our magnificent box has a royal blue stipple base featuring Catherine’s shield shaped bouquet of myrtle, lily of the valley, sweet william, and hyacinth.
